To Kill A Mockingbird : In Class Writing

The book to kill a mockingbird should not be banned because of the fact that it showed how people reacted to black people, and those who helped black people back in the day and by removing the book we are basically removing part of America's history which doesn’t make any sense because if we don't learn about what happened in the past we might make the same mistakes as it was once said “those who don't learn history are doomed to repeat it”.

Although the book to kill a mockingbird was written in the 1960’s we can still relate to the story like how scout’s aunt Alexandra is trying to make her be like a “lady” by making scout try to be something she isn’t. We can also relate to it based off of how the ewells tried to frame tom Robinson for rape just because he was black, even today people are being accused of rape and even though the rape charges are false it can still ruin someone’s life all because no one learned that it is wrong to accuse someone of rape when it is false, even in the court of law you have to swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, however people will still lie in order to benefit themselves financially or to ruin the life of someone they don't like.

The Mask Project

The mask project was a project in which we had to look at who we were as a person and as a society and how we were changed by the people around us, it also made us look into our history as people too see the masks that we all wear, now My mask represents what I want people to see but, more often than not people will try to avoid viewing things that are obviously in front of them, in the past i used to go out without a mask but, I had so many enemies in the past i basically used what they shot at me with as a mask that was, ever changing and morphing, into what seemed like a good idea, but now I seem like a popular kid when in reality if I acted like I wanted to I would be shunned or avoided.

The white color represents how everyone wants me to be a blank slate that they can project themselves onto. The pocket watch shows how we are all running out of time and how time shows itself on people. The gear shows how people are afraid to go out of their system and try something new, people will act in patterns by doing the same thing over and over again. The locked door with the light behind it represents the fact that I hide who I really am even though it is a beautiful thing. The blackened mesh represents the fact that I look out at the world without the world looking in at me. The red teardrop is for my last name being blood and it represents my depression. The swords on top show that I like to collect swords and that I am willing to fight for what I believe in. the tower and the hammer represent the song the tower of pain and the hammer song. The moustache is from the movie v for vendetta which is a movie all about anarchy. The dice are to show my family’s addiction to gambling and other luck based activities. The sun and the stars represent how much i like astrology and space. The moons show that I am a night person because i do all my best work at night. The book and the scroll represent my love of reading and shows my ability and craft words into a beautiful tapestry of words. The musical note on the chin shows that i love music and singing. I have the swirled eyebrows because those are like the eyebrows in a popular anime and they represent my love for anime.

The mask I created is what I want people to see but some of the things from behind the mask will raise to the surface such as my love for music. So basically I use the crack in my mask/armor to enhance the power of my mask. unfortunately I wasn't able to finish my mask because I was sick for several days
